Thats my new vest. Made using Katja azteca Yarn, they are really amazing colors and stripes there. I knit from bottom to top and made teh back and front like a one piece. Thats the reason why the sripes ar narrow on bottom and not so nice on top.

My favourite book is this one. There are lot of several lace patterns, some of these are really difficult. Mostly my lace is born using pattern from this book. Of course, there are only swatches and a few projects. It means - a fantasy and designer skills are needed. But it is not difficult when the target is a scarf or shawl. Just read a pattern and knit. I really like it.

Firs I saw a bride dress made by Liia, it was really gorgeous. I have no patient enough to made a dress for adults but a little nice piece it is.

Interveawe Knits Summer 2006. there was in a description - Estonian lace. Actually I found this this pattern from the Pitsilised Koekirjad as well. A bit different but largely it was the same. However I used the pattern from the IK and the border lace as well. On the second page in the Magazine was a instruction as well, I saw only the charts and now my shawl has two ends and no beginning. I hope it is nothing really tragically becaus this pattern (and this shawl) is great like this as well. Of course at first I wanted to work this basic pattern with traditional round-border. Now I even think it wouldnt be a good idea. I can make a another shawl using round-border. On this time I should use thinner needles. Needles here are 2.5 mm and the tension is not good at all, shawl is too sparse and not so correct I wanted.

I started with basic pattern, then worked ending border as required and ending border twice to the real beginning.

I started it allready from IK. Even in IK or their wesite I couldnt found a normal picture about this pattern - what a gorgeous lace it is. It is just pulchritudinous. Somehow I got disturbed that marks are different I have used before. Why are they different, We need here an worldwide harmonization.

SEbastian is a littl boy. As may son he is 80 cm heigh as well. And now he got a sweater for autumn. It`s his mothers design - she said that there should be two stripes on bottom and on neck and more on shoulders. I made so. Unusual colors for me but it was not my choice.

This is my grandmathers name. She was a person who first made this. For me it was gorgeous. And mysterious - how is it made. Seems like they are motivs. Yes, they are. In certain way. I really like how it looks like. Now I found this pattern as well. It was hiding in the wery old Magazine: Siluett 1978. Originally Scarf was made using bigger hook and it was really different look. BUt There I used hook nr 2,5 and some cotton-acrylic.

They are my samples. When I have a yarn - I am supposed to knit something now. There I had needles nr 2,5 and it is just a little piece. One day I will make a gorgeous shawl.

I read the articles as well like a for excample and will make a Haapsalu sall. Even I learned how to make a correct nupp. I am sure in my shawl will be lot of nupps beacuse I just like those so much.

First I made a top using this pattern on smaller size (I sold it at last weekend in Tartu). Roosa II fits for girl 120-130 cm. And I used i-cord for shoulders and chrocheted not a lace on bottom.

Then I had this yarn more for one top and I made a little cable top. Actually now it is yarn again. Sometimes some things are not good enough. Even they looks nice.

Some time ago I found a good possibility to make a new yarn myself. I used very old variegated cotton-threads and put them together. So I got yarn nr 4 - it means I knot with needles nr 4 and 3,5. This pulli is made just as and I hope to sell it in Tartu this weekend. It is going to be my first tradewoman experience. Or experiment.

A few times had Triinu reqest to have a red cap. Now I get a new MODA and there I found this tutorial. Using red Novita Helen yarn and hook nr 3,5 I made it a little smaller. During a last weekend I made another red cap too, for another girl. And then I made a pink cap as well. Now has left a beige and dark red because Triinu has lot of girlfriends. It is a great pattern.

Once I bought lot of Novita Samos yarn. I like it. And my girl liks it becaus it is pink. She likes lot of tops as well, she has them allready a hugde amount. Every girl need a new top. Unfortunately summer in Estonia is so short and has no heat at all. I think we need a shrug too.

After I fnished a strawberry-shawl, there were lot of yarn more. It is tyrkish angora, nice and soft. I started a cardigan. Everybody needs a soft cardigan today. Couple months ago visited Abakhan I bought very cheep mohair. There was a big colour cheme but I took a blue one. Now I am thinking about other colours as well but they arent in the shop any more. Mohair is extremely soft, luxurious and thic. I started with this yarn at summer as well but it doesnt work . Lot of other projects were more intresting. Now I finished it. Pattern is myown, simple to knit and yarn is pleasure to knit. Needles nr 5.

Mart looks like a medieval knight in catarrh now. I made it using a pattern published in estonia in forum named Isetegija. I am sure, this pattern is like folklore: everyone knows it and nobody knows a aboriginal author. However, his head is a little bit smaller than usual babys head. And I needed to change some details.

Strawberry-shawl

So I am reportin about strawberry-shawl. This shawl is knit from the bottom up. I created it using nr 5 needles, pattern from old "Pitsilised koekirjad"-book and occasionally founded angora yarn. Yarn is from Turkey. Every side is 1,5 meter and in the shawl is only 100 gr yarn.

Novita 7 veljestä I used to knit a pair of gloves for Triinu and for me as well. She wanted gloves like mittens and she got them. . Knitting I used needles nr 2 and there was 9 stiches on the needle at beginning. For other pair I took 10 stiches at beginning and made them as usual gloves . Fingers are made with two needles.

They are a cables by Elsebeth Lavold. I started a new cardigan using Lavolds cables from her book, white Jussi yarn and easy raglan. First time I knit two sleeves together in same time on the same round needle. But - it isnt handy at all, the threads mess up all most the time and I forget to take second sleeve as well and knit this one alone. More practise I need.

I made it using yarn Onlinie 57 and needles nr 9 (round). On the second row I increased every second stich, then about ten rows are just knitted without increasing or lacepattern and then I startedlace. I dont remember how they name it in englisch but its weltknown pattern from Shetland and really popular. And! easy to knit and increas the poncho as well. After every 10 cm I put a stich between pattern band. So I started with 4 YO and at the end there was 6 Yo to knit. Mostly I like a bottom strand

A month ago I bought a Onlinie 57 Yarn. On the skein I saw that sweather nr 38 needs 650 gr yarn. And I bougth 650 gr, for any case, better to have more yarn than less. usually I spend less yarn but its not a rule. Now I have a sweather nr 38 (made for selling), large scarf (for me initially) and a poncho (for mother) and I have a two skeins (à 50 gr) remain. How is it possible? Even I used needles nr 8 and nr 9 where recommendation was needles nr 10.

By this scarf on the pictue I used lace after first 10 rows and by poncho as well but some less, sweather I made is without lace patten at all.

Using a Knitty pattern I made my own Kate. Red is my favourite color. Lovely kittenface was kids demand. And she has a tail as well but ist is not visible on the picture. So my Kate is without pants but it makes she not unhappy. Nose and a eyes are real - as much it is possible. I didnt embroid the eyes and nose because I found real cateyes in the Abakhan. I used Noviita Helen Yarn and needles nr 4, so I quess my first Kate is little bit smaller than original.

There is a cold winter now. Using Novita Nalle Color, Wool and Aino Praakli book "Kirikindad" I made pair of mittens at least. Originally in the book are patterns with 66 stiches and more. These yarns are not thin enough, there I used needles nr 2. They are large anyway. Now I am thinking about felting to decrease them.

To do this Novita cardiganis terrible boring. It seems really easy pattern and it is. I choose needles nr 4 and thinner yarn as well. Now I have lot of work to do and it takes time more. I just ended a body. Specially boring was to knit about 1 meter ribbed and no other changes. I hope to end it befor spring is here. In case I have enough yarn for this. I had weigh a last skin and reel in two balls. Every sleeve has now his own ball.

This is a black sweather I made twice. First for husbands sis but I made it too large. Then I unstiched it and knitted again. And less stiches in back and frontside. Now it fits for her daughter. The sleeves are same. I revise a topside as well, put the piecies all together and used only purl stiches. Originally I made raglan but now decided to make otherwise. Too hard is to make two sweather using same pattern. If I must to knit something similar I just need to do some little detail different. Generally its similar like I amde for Triinu same year ago.

First I made hat like this on spring. Where I were at hospidal. And Mart were tiny baby. Using blue Bambino-Yarn it seemed hugde and I unstiched it. After that I decided to knit it using Wool and make it punctually like it was on the pattern. Large again. Of course, my babys head is smalles than usual babs head. Now I took white Wool and only 28 stichs and needles nr 2,5. And it fits. At least. Nice hat.

Today I found something intresting and admireing!!! Now I should to finish it. Only one sleeve is to knit and then is ready. The pattern was in a Elsebeth Lavolds book "Viking patterns for kniting" . There it was made yellow, I liked violet more. And I found a artikels and more pictures as well. I feel bad, its so nice and not finished. My husband is in Swansea (UK, Wales) right now. And he should there be two weeks more.Of course when he asked my wishes I said that the most anticipated gift willbe a yarn. for excample hand-made silk yarns or something great and nice and local. But - he cant find a yarnstore, even in a biggest suoermarket there they do not have a yarns. Is Estonia so unusual? OK, they sell mostly yarns from Novita but anyway I have seen yarns even in Berlin KDW. Last days he is spending in Manchester. I am sure he cant find a yarnstore or knitting magazin there as well. Looks like I can find yarn faster from internet and he cant find it at all beeing abroad.

Edit: I found one adress at least!!! 2 Woodville Road, Mumbles, Swansea. Now is a question, how could lex find it.

Fifi is ready. Thanks for a new bamboo-needle I bought on Ülemiste. There is a small store on the second floor. I think it is too small for selling yarns. Even I had wish to by something it was so unconvenient. It used to be on Narva street, Larina Lõngad , but they have lost a yarn-selection and quess clients as well. Or not. This center is good place to visit, lot of parkingplaces and so on. They sell needlework too, I saw the bags ready for carring only picture need to embroid. I like an idea.

ahjaa, my old nr 3,5 bamboo needle are eated by dog. Keep continous atttention. I am sure she were just jealous.

1 - 7. okt has Rewill on Vene street discount. I should go and by new yarn for bags. No, not yarn, I need something for felting. Last felted bag is admirable. My son saw it before and after felting, he called Wou!!. And asked again why dont I sell them. Why? For example on Mardilaat. Its coming very soon. One reason I know. I have only one bag to sell. Now I have to live all month without camera. They were a last pictures. Because I couldnt say to Leho: Dont, I need it, I need camera to take pictures if I finish something. Exactly - If. Now I have two alternatives: not to finish or keep smiling and wait until he is back. And after four weeks I have a blue cardigan (mohair), Green striped cardigan (merino) and pants for Mart, new black sweater for Karen and something for Eha. And I must finish Fifi. How could I - so many uncompleted things. And lot of picturea after month. I hope so.

. Now I completed small size socks. I do socks with ribbed leg usually and never did without it before. Next socks I should to knit using Ulla pattern from Minna. Such kind of heels I have never done before as well. Between large projects like a Fifi or blue mohair I need to do something small and quick. Like a socks. Here I used green merino wool (Novita) which I bought for sleepy-bag. Actually I started it in hospidal at april but unstiched now because Mart has now three overalls for outgoing and sleeping and one made of wool to. And they three are in same size.

I forgot to go and by Monza from säästumarket what there was as like a discounted artickel. That is true, I do not know, how much it cost at all. In another place or yarnstore and how good it is actually to knit. I like those colors and stripes, and colors generally are nice too. 25% wool and 75 % acryl is not bad at all.Of course its not the best choice but its better than 100% acryl which I used for black sweather for Eha. Acryl is cheep to by and easy to wear and I used nr 5 needles, but its really inconvenient to knit.

So, at least I started to knit something of Ulla. Fifi-huivi. Its easy to make but only at beginning when there is a few rows. After 20 cm it is going harder, because every row takes more time and shawl seems endless. However, I do. Some reason I like it. I use here my bamboo needle (nr 3,5) and some very old and unknown yarn. It is not wool or cotton, not nylon. Maybe it is silk with....I dont know but it is nice, lightweight and blue.

I bought Papillon Luxury mohair!!! Usually I dont look mohair because it is too expensive to me, usually. But there was almost 50% discount. Actually I love such kind yarn buut why should they be so flurry. What to do with this yarn? Even I have a feeling that I need to by all other colors too. Violet, Green, Black....Because it was so so cheep and yarn is really soft and nice.

Now I present my new tapestry. It is just a small piece (little bit longer than A4 format)and i am going to make a purse or a bag . Its still open, its still waiting, I do not have a time and place for sewing and actually to be honest, I am not sure how to do it. With zipper? widhout? how long should be the shoulders and etc.

Started a sweather for Eha. Black, with lace. Front is ready too. I am using nr 5 needles. BUt now I prefer reading, and work in the garden. Autumn is here, all beans and onions and carrots are ready to take off.

Why is Novita wool now made pure wool and not merinowool now? Just now vhen I have a baby and wanted to knit another sweater for him. WE all now - merino is the best.Now I should go and look for mernowool but I am not sure where or how much it costs.uhhh.
