My favourite book is this one. There are lot of several lace patterns, some of these are really difficult. Mostly my lace is born using pattern from this book. Of course, there are only swatches and a few projects. It means - a fantasy and designer skills are needed. But it is not difficult when the target is a scarf or shawl. Just read a pattern and knit. I really like it.
